An overseas expedition is a learning experience like no other. It's an all-encompassing preparation course for life.
Things don't always go to plan and they can be challenging and hard work - but that's the point!
Learning begins up to 18 months before departure with a progamme of planning and training sessions to prepare teams to maximise the development opportunities that await them.

Each Outlook expedition offers varying levels of adventure and physical challenge. Trekking off the beaten track provides the perfect environment for developing leadership skills, teamwork and resilience.
Some teams choose to focus on summiting a peak while others choose to trek through jungle or desert terrain. On some treks, teams can also meet local people while journeying through remote villages or spot unique wildlife in their natural habitat.
Students get the opportunity to work alongside local people on a worthwhile community or environmental initiative.
Cultural exchange and contibuting to positive change are hugely valuable experiences and students return inspired to take an active role in making our planet more equal, fair and sustainable
Reflection is an important part of any learning experience so this phase is just important as the more challenging aspects of expeditions.
This could involve a few days relaxing on a beautiful beach, exploring a capital city or something more adrenaline fuelled like a safari or white water rafting adventure.
