Last month marked a very special milestone for us here at Outlook Expeditions, as it saw the return - at long last - of our overseas adventures! And what better way to shake off the cobwebs of the pandemic and welcome in an exciting new year of travel, than plunging to -27 degrees and spending a week in the Finnish wilderness?
During the February half-term, our students headed off on an action-packed, winter adventure to the Arctic nation of Finland, to learn new skills needed to survive in these beautiful yet harsh environments, and understand more about the way of life of the hardy Finnish people.
From snowshoeing to cross-country skiing, husky sledding to quinzee building, the teams had a fantastic time discovering the incredible, untouched snowy landscapes, and we loved being back out exploring with our students!
This Finland Winter experience is one of our Explore packages, designed to get beneath the skin of a destination giving young people the opportunity to not just visit but 'feel' the country they are visiting.
Explorers return with empathy, excitement, and a lust for adventure! Unlike Expeditions, all our Explore itineraries are all inclusive and fully catered. All logistics and accommodation is pre-booked.
