Mongolia Visa

British nationals require a visa to travel to Mongolia. Visas are unavailable on arrival and so students must obtain their visa in advance.

The visa required is a single entry (30 day) tourist visa, the visa is valid for 3 months from the date of issue. Therefore do not attempt to arrange your visa until you are within 3 months of the return flight date. This will cost £40.

Application in person

Original passport with at least 6 months’ validity
One recent passport-size photograph, glued to the visa form
Duly filled in and signed visa application form
Processing time is 3 working days
Visa applications by post are not accepted
Visa applications can be made by a nominated (in writing) person or agency

How to apply

The Embassy "accepts applications submitted by (1) the applicant, (2) a family member or a friend on behalf of the applicant provided the applicant has signed authorization/consent letter, (3) visa courier agencies that comply with our visa requirements. The Embassy does not have provisions to process visa applications by post."

Application submission – 10:00 till 12:00 (no appointment necessary)

Application collection – 16:00 till 16:15
