Cambodia is the successor state to the Khmer Empire, which during the Angkorian Period, ruled much of what is now Laos, Thailand and Vietnam. The remains of this period can be seen at the grand temples of Angkor.
Cambodia offers many delights for adventurous travellers, from virgin rainforests, wooden villages and meandering rivers to misty mountains and tropical islands.
